Simply put, it is a change in your career. This may be a purchase of a practice, sale of a practice, merger or partnership formation.

There is no "one size fits all" practice or practice transition. While in dental school most dentists planned to be in a private practice setting for the assumption of decades. That is the case for many, but situations and plans change. Circumstances change for a variety of reasons. Your health, your location, your family's needs, retirement age approaching, a career plateau or the real possibility of burnout etc. may prompt you to rethink your career path.

​Dr. Lilia Martinez Cyr (Lily) received her DDS from the UT Health Science  Center in San Antonio with honors and has a strong research background. She has continued to analyze and gain insightful knowledge of the dental profession as it develops. As many of you know, there have been dramatic changes in technology, materials, supply costs, reimbursements and a shift towards a corporate restructuring of dental practice. Lily has received advanced skill training to incorporate digital scanning, CAD/CAM, implant placement, orthodontics and facial esthetics into her patient care.

As a 2nd generation dentist, Lily has spent the majority of her life literally in the dental world. She acquired a practice after having been an associate for 2 years in San Antonio, TX and has received a practical education in the business of dentistry as an owner. Lily recently transitioned out of practice ownership after 12 years of being a solo practice owner.  This was a difficult decision and if you feel you're at a critical point in your career and need a sounding board to review what options you have, Lily can help you assess your position and needs.
